Each year during the Jewish festival of Sukkot, my family takes a moment to celebrate and remember God’s goodness in our lives over the past year.

This time, we remembered his faithfulness to protect one of my daughters after an unexpected accident during Sukkot.

To a life as God intended. One for our benefit and for the benefit of others. Good news to our modern culture and an antidote to our ways of living that leave us dry, wishing for more.

We want so desperately to turn the life of the spirit into a methodology that can be prescribed and followed, negating our need to commit our lives to hearing his voice and following wherever that may lead.
